The Provincial Priors Address from the Annual Meeting of Provincial Priory – 18th October 2025.
Provincial Meeting – 18th November 2025 – Greenhead Masonic Hall Huddersfield.
The Annual Provincial Meeting will be taking place as planned at 11am on Saturday, 18th October 2025, at The Masonic Hall, Greenhead Road, Huddersfield, HD1 4EN. Please note this a new venue for this meeting.
I am attaching a self-explanatory letter and booking form from the Provincial Registrar which you should pass onto all your members, including those who are not on email.
If any Bro. Knight wishes to attend the meeting only (i.e. without dining), they should let both myself and the Provincial Marshal know ( scoffsown@hotmail.co.uk ) This is to assist with seating arrangements for the meeting.
Please remind your Eminent Preceptor that it his responsibility to ensure that your Preceptory Banner is delivered to Huddersfield Masonic Hall either during the afternoon or evening on the day before, but certainly no later than 10am on the day of the meeting. It is not necessary to bring a stand or pole.
Finally, to simplify the booking procedure, you may just complete the table below and forward this whole email to miastley@aol.com
Starter …… Black Pudding & Goat Cheese Salad with Balsamic Dressing (BP) OR Fan of Melon with a Fruit Coulis (M)
Main ……… Roast Pork with Yorkshire Pudding and Apple Sauce (RP) OR Basa Fillet in a Provençal Sauce (BF)
OR Vegetarian Brie Wellington with Caramelized Onion and Portobello Mushroom (VBW)
All served with Roast & New Potatoes and Seasonal Vegetables.
Dessert …. Eton Mess (EM) OR Ice Cream (IC) OR Cheese and Biscuits (CB) To Finish ……. Coffee or Tea
Finally, on the subject of parking. It is highly unlikely that there will be any parking spaces available in the grounds of the Masonic Hall. However, as the meeting is being held on a Saturday, there is ample on-street parking on the upper stretches of Greenhead Road and Park Drive South, and in other local streets. Just make sure you check the parking signs beforehand. If any disabled parking badge holders are unable to attend unless they can park close to the building, please contact me in advance and I will make the necessary arrangements.
