User anonymity and personal or confidential information
The granting of login credentials by us to applicants means that their name, email address and Preceptory (i.e. the data supplied on registration) are held by us and their logged in activities on this site are recordable. Any user objecting to this should contact us immediately using the form on the Contacts p page available from the ain Menu so that their account may be deleted, which will permanently and completely remove all such information from the live site. This will of course prevent any further login access to the website.
We will make no attempt to identify other visitors, except where there is a reasonable suspicion that unauthorised access to systems is being attempted. In all cases, we reserve the right to attempt to identify any individual who is reasonably suspected of trying to gain unauthorised access to computer systems or resources operating as part of our web services.
This site uses a web analytics tool WPStatistics to collate anonymous visitor statistics which we use to improve our site. These are not shared with any third party. No data is collected or stored that could lead to the identification of an individual visitor and cookies are not used in the process.
Any individual appearing by name, photograph or other reference in any of our articles or postings to this website may request at any time that reference to them be removed or obfuscated by contacting the Webmaster using the Contact Form. We will undertake to action such requests promptly.
User Accounts
Login accounts may be granted to bona fide subscribing members of the Province to provide access to the members area of this website.
Application for a user account requires the submission of personal details in the form of name, email address, and Preceptory No. This information can be removed from the live site records on request using the Contact Form, but this will also permanently delete the user account.
All those granted a user account are subject to our terms and conditions of use. These include:
- Agreement to the storage of the user details submitted on application
- Agreement to the acceptance of any cookies required to be set by the site as part of logged-in activities
- Commitment to fair and legal use of the site. Any user posting defamatory, insulting, salacious, obscene or other information or images deemed to be inappropriate to the purpose of the site or attempting to hack, disfigure or otherwise illegally access our systems are subject to immediate account suspension, removal of any offending information posted and possible notification to the disciplinary authorities of the Order.
Any user account that has not been accessed in 6 months after registration or 2 years since last visit is subject to deletion. The user must then re-apply for a new account to access the members area.
Accounts are subject to deletion should a brother cease to be a member of a Preceptory in the Province, or of the Order.
